With all the Franchise Series to invest in, i'm afraid i have more time for X-Men, Final Fantasy, Saw, and Transformers than this one… But then Michelle Rodriguez was in a couple of these, and we all know how i feel about him. Oh yeah, i think Devon Aoki was in the 2nd installment of this. i'll watch anything for Devon Aoki, even DOA: Dead or Alive.

In reply to Dan. If you're going to, I'd watch the first one and the fourth one before diving in here. The 2nd and 3rd films don't do much except introduce a coupla characters brought back in this one, and even then, aren't much chop.

…it's astonishing that they have actually made so many films in this franchise. I wouldn't have thought it would have the legs. I'm not much of a fan of the first film and I haven't seen any of the others. But that's isn't to say I don't like to see really spectacular cars driving very fast so I may give this a go on your recommendation. Do I have to see the other films beforehand?

@ Dan – Diesel and Johnson going at it feels a lot like a poor man's sequel to The Expendables, with that pumped-up testosterone-injected maleness going on. It's a little cool, actually. But yes, this cast isn't great.

@ Vik – You should, man. 4, 5 and the upcoming 6th film will all link together into a sort-of trilogy, if you will, so it might make for brainless, idiotic viewing on a lazy Sunday afternoon….

Vin Diesel and Paul Walker in the same movie. I have to admit to liking Dwayne Johnson but more so as The Rock. Therefore, this film could win the prize for my most hated cast of the year. Great review as always Rodney but I'm not sure this is my cup of tea. Although, given I've seen several positive reviews, I may have to give this a viewing.
