Thanks, Dan – I agree, this film left a bad taste in the mouths of even those who enjoy Bay's work, and that's saying something. There's nothing wrong with loud, stupid and annoying films at times, but this one really swung for the fences and hit every cliche it could.

I think Michael Bay's whole idea behind this flick was to just be loud, annoying, and stupid, and think he can get by on that. That was definitely not the case as this was probably one of the biggest wastes at the theaters I ever committed. The third one was quite epic and fun, but I still couldn't budge the bad-taste out of my mouth from this. Good review Rod. My recent post Office Space (1999)
