Fun, yeah, intelligent, nah. I didn't mind the bit with Lady Gaga, and Charlie Sheen's President was magnificent (LOLZ!) but on the whole, this is entirely disposable cinema rubbish that quite easily could have been left aside in favor of Sin City 2.

I think Rodriguez "jumped the shark" in this one, though. The addition of Mel Gibson was inspired casting, but the whole thing felt like it was the joke version of the original. Still, it's enjoyably idiotic if you're after that kind of thing.
