In reply to rtm. Ooo, I think you're doing yourself a disservice if you don't at least check out the original three movies, Ruth, they do add a fair bit of context to what happens later. They're just as dumb then as the current ones are, but you get the backstory and context for what's happening in the new movies. Give it a chance, I say!

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I didn't hate this. The first half was a little too bro-mancy for my tastes, but the ridiculous action in the second half made the film an overall good experience for me. What really impressed me, however, was the fact you've been writing consistently stellar reviews for 8 years. I quite enjoyed this one too Rodney! I got on this franchise after the sixth movie, and I like that one as well as Fast Five. No interest in seeing the first few movies though. My recent post FlixChatter Review: The Congress (2013)
