Even though Fincher refused to be involved in the doco, the manner in which it dissects what went wrong is pretty ballsy for Fox to admit to. Definitely worth a watch.

Oh, and there's a whole segment on that doco devoted to an early concept of the planet Ripley crashes onto being a planet constructed entirely of wood. It's sooooo WTF you'll lose your freakin' mind.

Oh wow, I never heard of that Alien 3 doc. I really need to see that now seeing as I'm such a Fincher fan.

This deserved a wider audience than it got. It's terrific. I hold it up alongside the Alien 3 doco on the Alien Anthology set that told a "warts and all" story about the production issues on that film.
