Michael Douglas is really good in this movie. I loved the way he fell for the trick, being such an arrogant asshole to start with before he learns his lesson. Love this movie!

In reply to Rodney. I don't mean it's un-recommendable as in it sucks. It doesn't suck. But it's not a movie that would occur to me to recommend to anyone.

I couldn't get into this one. The twist ending is telegraphed from the beginning, which really sapped the mystery and tension away. Plus, as you said, the implausibility of it all. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

You got it absolutely right! This film is only any good because Fincher directed it and Douglas starred in it. Without them this would be just a throwaway thriller of the 90s.
