I really enjoyed this one. I'm glad you did, as well. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if it did make a number to top 10 horror flicks lists for this year. Even though it does pretty much stick to genre tropes it manages to overcome them. It does because, as you said, "Flanagan wrings every ounce of tension and low-rent horror from Maddie’s predicament." Granted, I haven't seen a ton of 2016 horror movies just yet, but I haven't seen any that have generated as much as tension as this one did. B-Movie, or not, it most certainly delivers.
