If enough time passes for everything to cool down, there’s no reason he can’t be brought back in some kind of consultancy capacity to shepherd the MCU Cosmic side.

I would still like for him to be involved. If he at least can have a filmmaker work on his script and do a favor for Gunn. That’s cool. Besides, I think Gunn’s apology was sincere and full of remorse unlike some aging old fart who keeps telling kids to say their prayers, eat their vitamins, train, and all of that bullshit while talking about brotherhood to African-American wrestlers who still don’t like him.

I tend to agree, I think a lot of online outrage is manufactured to a point, but a lot of stuff happens in real life that needs to have the rock kicked over off it. I think Gunn’s actions have spoken louder and louder as this whole sorry debacle has dragged on.

I’m really sick of political correctness. People who attack others for past actions and things they didn’t mean to say are really much worse. They have no forgiveness in their heart and just want to push their idea of what is right.

What Disney did was wrong to cave in like that. Yet, this isn’t the first time they did something like this.

There’s a LOT of people on the internet who aren’t able to forgive Gunn for his comments. It’s that stupid mentality that people aren’t able to move on from past mistakes and the online hate community continues to pillory them down the years. That’s not to mitigate what Gunn has said or done, but at what point do we allow him to continue with his career: a decade? Twenty? Never? I agree, Disney badly handled this whole thing – maybe they should have sat Gunn down from the start and suggested he either delete said tweets or step aside into a producer role instead of outright fire him. I’m not sure, but i think the end result spells bad times ahead for the Guardians franchise.
