To my mind. the most creepy part is NOT where Alucard turns into a bat, but the scenes in which his casket arises from the depths of the Louisiana bayou and a white mist oozes from within, quickly reforming into the Count's physical body or the jail scene in which Kay(now a vampire) enters Frank's as a bat to suck his blood before turning into mist and calmly floating away. The denoument of course is the scene in which Alucard shrieks near the film's climax as he sees his coffin burning "Put it out, I tell ya- put it out!". Oh why do you fear to die, to let the purifying flames caress your bosom?-your soul has been dead a long time!
