During her subsequent film career she worked with cinematic luminaries such as David Lean, Stanley Kubrick, Otto Preminger, Spencer Tracy and Anthony Hopkins. Among her many films, she appeared in classics such as<em> The Robe<\/em> (1953), <em>Guys &amp; Dolls<\/em>, <em>Black Narcissus<\/em>,<em> Great Expectations<\/em>, <em>Heidi<\/em>, <em>Spartacus<\/em>, and<em> The Big Country<\/em>. Simmons was 80.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<figure id=\"attachment_10735\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-10735\" style=\"width: 197px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-10735\" title=\"3595_1_19655\" src=\"http:\/\/www.fernbyfilms.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/3595_1_19655.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"197\" height=\"300\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-10735\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">James Mitchell - 1920-2010<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">James Mitchell was an actor\/dancer, appearing in the daytime soap opera <em>All My Children<\/em>, as Palmer, between 1979 and 2009. His dance work included Broadway appearances in <em>Oaklahoma<\/em>, <em>Paint Your Wagon<\/em>, <em>Carnival!<\/em>, and <em>The King and I<\/em>.
