Bernie Mac was 50.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1474\" title=\"Isaac Hayes\" src=\"http:\/\/www.fernbyfilms.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/08\/urban_isaac-hayes.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"322\" height=\"348\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.fernbyfilms.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/08\/urban_isaac-hayes.jpg 322w, https:\/\/www.fernbyfilms.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/08\/urban_isaac-hayes-277x300.jpg 277w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 322px) 100vw, 322px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Isaac Hayes will be remembered by modern audiences as the voice of Chef from <em>South Park<\/em>. Older film fans will remember his Oscar winning title song from the film series <em>Shaft<\/em>, which was updated by Samuel L Jackson a few years back thanks to John Singleton. Hayes had fallen out with <em>South Park<\/em> creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker in recent years, after their brand of humour in the comic cartoon had raised the ire of Haye&#8217;s beliefs.
